Privacy Policy
01 Who we are
This Privacy Policy is issued by Glamour Textile Mills Limited (“Glamour Textile Mills”, “we”, “us”, “our”), a textile manufacturing company registered in Pakistan, with its mill and registered office at 11 Kilometers Manga Raiwind Road, Lahore 55050, Pakistan.
Glamour Textile Mills Limited is the data controller responsible for the personal data described in this policy. You can reach us at any time at info@glamourtextile.pk or on +92 300 847 3162.
02 Scope of this policy
This policy explains what personal data we access, collect, use, store, share and delete, and it applies to:
- the website at glamourtextile.pk and any sub-domain of it;
- any mobile application published by Glamour Textile Mills Limited, including applications distributed through Google Play;
- business correspondence you send us by email, telephone or messaging in connection with enquiries, samples, orders and shipments.
It does not apply to the employment relationship between Glamour Textile Mills Limited and its own staff, which is governed separately.
This policy is written to meet the disclosure requirements of the Google Play User Data policy, and is intended to be read together with the Data safety declaration shown on the Google Play store listing of any application we publish. Where a specific application collects data differently from what is set out here, the in-app disclosure and the Data safety section of its store listing govern that application.
03 Personal data we collect
a. Information you give us directly
When you contact us about products, samples, pricing, orders or shipments, we receive whatever you choose to send. In practice this is usually:
- Identity and contact data — your name, your employer or company name, job title, email address, telephone or mobile number, and postal address.
- Enquiry content — fabric constructions, specifications, shade references, quantities, delivery requirements, and any files, images or documents you attach.
- Commercial and transactional data — purchase orders, invoices, shipping documents and payment references, where we are doing business together. Bank details supplied for settlement are treated as confidential commercial data.
b. Information collected automatically
- Server log data — when a page is requested, our web hosting provider records the IP address, the date and time of the request, the page or file requested, the HTTP status, the referring page where one is sent, and the browser user-agent string. These logs are produced by the hosting infrastructure for security and reliability purposes.
- Device and diagnostic data (applications only) — where we publish a mobile application, it may process device model, operating system version, application version, language and crash diagnostics in order to run correctly and to fix defects.
c. Information from other sources
We may receive your business contact details from a colleague at your organisation, from a trade fair registration you completed, from a buying agent or freight forwarder acting for you, or from a publicly available business directory.
04 Data we do not collect
We want to be equally clear about what we do not do:
- We do not collect special categories of sensitive personal data — health, biometric, genetic, racial or ethnic origin, religious or political beliefs, trade union membership, or sexual orientation.
- We do not run advertising networks, behavioural advertising, or cross-site or cross-app tracking, and we do not build advertising profiles.
- We do not sell, rent or trade personal data to anyone, for any purpose.
- The website does not request access to a device's contacts, camera, microphone, precise location, photo library, SMS or call logs.
- We do not knowingly collect personal data from children (see section 13).
05 How we use personal data
We use personal data only for the purposes for which it was provided or collected:
- To answer you. Responding to enquiries, quoting, arranging samples and holding the correspondence that a commercial discussion requires.
- To perform a contract. Processing orders, manufacturing to specification, arranging inspection, shipping, invoicing and after-sales support.
- To keep records. Maintaining the commercial, tax, customs and export records that Pakistani law requires us to keep.
- To operate and secure our systems. Keeping the website and any application available, diagnosing faults, and detecting or preventing abuse, fraud and unauthorised access.
- To meet legal obligations. Complying with applicable law, regulatory requirements, and lawful requests from competent authorities.
We do not use personal data for automated decision-making that produces legal or similarly significant effects, and we do not use it for profiling.
06 Legal bases for processing
Where the EU or UK General Data Protection Regulation applies to our processing of your data, we rely on the following legal bases:
- Performance of a contract — to supply goods you or your organisation have ordered, and to take steps at your request before entering into a contract.
- Legitimate interests — to respond to business enquiries, to manage the customer relationship, and to keep our systems secure. We balance these interests against your rights and freedoms.
- Legal obligation — to keep accounting, tax, customs and export documentation.
- Consent — where you have given it, for example if you ask to receive occasional product updates. Consent can be withdrawn at any time.
07 Sharing and disclosure
We share personal data only where it is necessary, and only with the following categories of recipient:
- Hosting and infrastructure providers — the provider that hosts glamourtextile.pk and stores its server logs, and our email service provider, which processes business correspondence on our behalf.
- Logistics and trade partners — freight forwarders, shipping lines, customs brokers and inspection agencies, where your contact and shipment details are needed to move and clear goods.
- Financial and professional advisers — banks handling settlement, and our auditors and legal advisers, under duties of confidentiality.
- Application distribution platforms — where we publish a mobile application, Google Play processes the account and diagnostic data described in its own policies as part of distributing that application. We do not receive your Google account credentials.
- Competent authorities — where disclosure is required by law, court order, or a valid request from a regulator or law enforcement agency, or where it is necessary to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.
- A successor entity — if the business or part of it is reorganised, merged or transferred, personal data may pass to the successor under the same protections as this policy.
Service providers act on our documented instructions, may use the data only for the service they provide to us, and are bound by confidentiality obligations. We do not authorise them to use it for their own purposes.
08 International transfers
We are based in Pakistan. If you contact us from another country, your data will be transferred to and processed in Pakistan, and may also be processed by our hosting and email providers in the countries where their servers are located. Where data protection law requires it, we put appropriate safeguards in place for such transfers — including standard contractual clauses with the relevant provider — and we apply the protections described in this policy regardless of where the data is processed.
09 How we protect data
- The website is served over HTTPS, so traffic between your browser and the site is encrypted in transit.
- Access to mailboxes and business records is restricted to the employees who need it for their role, and is protected by individual accounts and passwords.
- Commercial records are held on managed systems with access control and backups.
- Staff who handle customer correspondence are instructed to keep it confidential.
- We review access when someone changes role or leaves the company.
No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. If a breach occurs that is likely to result in a risk to your rights, we will notify the affected individuals and any competent authority where the applicable law requires it, without undue delay.
10 How long we keep data
- Enquiries that do not lead to business — kept for up to 24 months from the last contact, then deleted.
- Customer records, orders and correspondence — kept for the life of the relationship and then for the period required by Pakistani commercial, tax and customs law, which is generally up to six years from the end of the relevant financial year.
- Server logs — retained for a short operational period, ordinarily not more than 12 months, then overwritten or deleted.
- Application diagnostic data — retained only as long as needed to diagnose and fix the defect it relates to.
When a retention period ends, data is deleted or irreversibly anonymised. Where a legal hold applies, we keep the affected records until the hold is lifted.
11 Deleting your data
You may ask us to delete the personal data we hold about you at any time.
- How to ask. Email info@glamourtextile.pk with the subject line Data deletion request, or write to Glamour Textile Mills Limited, 11 Kilometers Manga Raiwind Road, Lahore 55050, Pakistan. Please tell us the name, email address and any company name under which we would hold your data, so that we can find it.
- Verification. We may ask one or two questions to confirm the request genuinely comes from you, or from someone authorised to act for you.
- Timing. We acknowledge requests within 7 days and complete them within 30 days. If a request is complex and needs longer, we will tell you why and give a revised date.
- What is deleted. Your contact details and correspondence are deleted from our active systems, and from routine backups on the ordinary backup rotation cycle.
- What may be retained. Records that we are legally required to keep — invoices, customs and tax documentation — are retained until their statutory period expires, and are then deleted. We will tell you if this applies to your request.
- Applications. If you have used a Glamour Textile Mills application and an account was created in it, you may request deletion of that account and its associated data through the same route, and we will delete it along with the data held against it.
12 Your rights
Subject to the law that applies to you, you have the right to:
- ask what personal data we hold about you, and get a copy of it;
- have inaccurate or incomplete data corrected;
- ask for your data to be deleted, as described in section 11;
- ask us to restrict how we use your data, or object to our use of it where we rely on legitimate interests;
- receive data you gave us in a portable, machine-readable format;
- withdraw consent at any time, where our processing is based on consent, without affecting processing carried out before withdrawal;
- lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
To exercise any of these rights, email info@glamourtextile.pk. We do not charge for responding, and we will not treat you differently for asking.
13 Children
Our website, our applications and our business are directed at textile trade buyers and business professionals. They are not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under the age of 16, or under the higher age of digital consent where local law sets one.
If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact info@glamourtextile.pk and we will delete it promptly.
14 Cookies and local storage
This website does not set advertising, analytics or tracking cookies, and it does not use third-party tracking pixels. Fonts, styles, scripts and images are served from our own domain, so loading a page does not disclose your visit to a third-party content network.
If we later introduce analytics or any non-essential cookie, we will update this policy before doing so and, where the applicable law requires it, ask for your consent first.
15 Links to other sites
Where our pages link to a third-party website — for example a shipping line's tracking page or an application store listing — that site is governed by its own privacy policy. We are not responsible for the content or the privacy practices of sites we do not operate, and we encourage you to read their policies.
16 Changes to this policy
We may update this policy to reflect changes in our practices, our services or the law. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page always shows the current version. Where a change materially affects how we handle personal data, we will give prominent notice on this website, and where an application is affected, in the application itself, before the change takes effect. Previous versions are available on request.
